A Website Can Look Fine and Still Lose You Business
Most website problems are not really about colours and fonts. They are about what happens when a customer arrives and tries to do something useful. A polished site that loses every enquiry is a surprisingly expensive ornament.
People cannot find the next step
Visitors need a clear explanation of what you do, evidence they can trust and a sensible way to contact you. We design around those decisions.
Your team cannot update anything
A website should be manageable after launch. We plan the right publishing tools, editor access and training for the people doing the work.
The old site is fragile or frustrating
Outdated content, slow mobile layouts, broken forms or poorly managed migrations can cost you credibility before a conversation even starts.
The website is disconnected from operations
Bookings, online sales, intake processes and internal systems may require more than a collection of static pages. Our software team can handle that complexity.
Website Design and Development, Without the Mystery
The right site depends on what your business needs. Sometimes that is a straightforward professional WordPress build. Sometimes it is a new ecommerce workflow or an integration project. We scope the work accordingly.
Business websites & redesigns
Useful websites for established service businesses, professional firms, trades and organizations. Clear structure, practical content and a credible presentation.
WordPress development
Custom-designed WordPress websites with content structures, templates and editing access matched to your team rather than a collection of plugins nobody wants to touch.
Ecommerce & online booking
Online stores, booking journeys, customer forms and other features planned around the actual sales or service process.
Custom features & integrations
When WordPress alone is not the answer, we can develop tailored functionality and connect a site to the systems that run your business.
SEO & analytics foundations
Indexable content structure, useful headings, metadata, redirects, mobile usability, analytics and enquiry-path testing as appropriate to the agreed scope.
Hosting, training & support
A planned launch, editor training and a clear conversation about hosting, updates, backups, responsibility and what happens after go-live.

What Happens After You Contact Us?
We are happy to start with a conversation. You do not need to arrive with the entire technical solution worked out.
Understand the business
We discuss what the current site does, who it serves, the enquiries or transactions it should support and what a successful project would actually change.
Agree on scope and cost
We define deliverables, content responsibilities, platform, integrations, project costs, timing assumptions and recurring expenses before development starts.
Design, build and test
We work through the agreed design and functionality, then review mobile presentation, content, enquiry paths, integrations, accessibility needs and redirects.
Launch and hand over
We plan the cutover, check critical forms and measurement, clarify administrative access and provide the agreed training and support.
What Does a Business Website Cost?
Website quotes vary because a five-page site with supplied content is not the same project as a five-page site that needs research, writing, design, migration, integrations, testing and training.
Our published 2026 website pricing guide puts a straightforward professional PANDAROSE business website often around CAD $8,500, before GST. That is a representative project, not a guaranteed package price or a minimum fee.
If you need ecommerce, booking, significant content migration, original software or extensive integrations, the scope and cost change. We would rather explain that early than bury it in a change order.
Before GST. Individual project scope determines the quote.
Our published example includes:
✓ Discovery and information architecture
✓ Design and responsive development
✓ SEO foundations and analytics
✓ Testing and staff training
✓ Hosting for the first year
Licences, ongoing maintenance and specialized hosting or support are explained separately when relevant. See the full guide for typical recurring costs.
Your Website Should Not Become a Hostage Situation
Domain access, content administration, hosting responsibilities, licences and support should be discussed before you sign. We spell out the responsibilities in the project scope so your team understands what it owns, what it can maintain and what help is available.
We also plan the unglamorous things that matter: launch checks, redirects, analytics, forms and the people who will actually keep the site current after we hand it over.
Built to Be Found. Designed to Be Useful.
We do not treat SEO as a garnish sprinkled on at launch. Search visibility, clear content, accessible navigation and a working contact path should be considered while the site is being built.
A sensible search foundation
Readable service pages, thoughtful titles and headings, mobile layouts, crawlable navigation and redirects when replacing an existing site.
A measurable way to contact you
Forms, calls, booking paths and appropriate analytics should be verified before a site goes live. Recorded form events are not the same thing as qualified leads.
We plan basic SEO foundations in a typical professional project; ongoing SEO campaigns, additional content, technical audits and AI-search optimization can be scoped separately. Read more about how website design affects SEO or explore our SEO services.

Website Design & Development FAQ
How much does a website from PANDAROSE cost?
A straightforward professional business website often comes in around CAD $8,500 before GST, based on our published 2026 pricing guide. The exact scope, content, ecommerce, integrations and migration requirements determine the quote. See the full cost breakdown.
Does that example include hosting?
Our published example includes hosting for the first year. Ongoing hosting, licences, maintenance, changes and specialist support should be reviewed as part of the written proposal; not every project has identical requirements.
Can you redesign our existing website without losing our search traffic?
We plan important URLs, content, redirects, metadata and technical changes before launch and test them during migration. No agency can guarantee that rankings will not move, but preserving useful search equity is part of responsible website replacement.
Do you build WordPress websites or custom websites?
Both. WordPress can be a good fit for content-driven business sites. Custom development or integrated components make sense when unusual workflows or systems demand them. We choose based on requirements, not just our preferred toolkit.
Can we update the website ourselves after launch?
We discuss the editing responsibilities and train the people who will maintain the content. Your proposal should make clear which changes editors can handle and which require developer or support assistance.
Do you handle SEO as part of website development?
We plan SEO foundations such as understandable content, structure, mobile experience, redirects, appropriate metadata and measurement. Ongoing keyword research, content creation, authority building and active SEO programs can be separate engagements.
How long will a new website take?
It depends on content readiness, page count, design approvals, integrations and migration complexity. We establish timing after understanding the requirements rather than offering a meaningless guaranteed turnaround.
Can the website handle forms, booking, ecommerce or our business systems?
Often, yes. We can evaluate WordPress plugins, ecommerce platforms, booking tools, third-party APIs and custom development. The safest approach depends on data flows, reliability, cost and future maintenance.
Do we need to have all the writing and photos ready?
Not necessarily. We will define who is responsible for copy, images, branding, approvals and migration in the scope. It is better to identify those responsibilities early than discover missing content a week before launch.
Do you work with businesses outside Edmonton?
Yes. PANDAROSE is based in Spruce Grove and works with organizations throughout the Edmonton region, Alberta and elsewhere in Canada. The suitability of remote or on-site work depends on the project.
Tell Us What Your Website Needs to Do
Tell us about the existing site, the project you have in mind and the problem you are trying to solve. We can discuss whether you need a new build, a targeted redesign or better integration with the tools you already use.
No need to know the correct CMS, plugin or server first. That is part of the conversation.
